Conclave Overview

India-China Economic Conclave 2008 is the 4th annual event under India China Economic and Cultural Council’s (ICEC) India-China Economic Programme. The conclave will be held on 18-19 February 2009 in New Delhi. The conclave is organized by ICEC Council in collaboration with China Chamber of International Commerce and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. The conclave strives to increase awareness of the many opportunities in India and China for economic cooperation. The main theme of the conference is:

 

The Emerging Economic Partnership”.

The focus of the discussion will be on Information Technology, Telecom, Finance, Power, Healthcare and Construction Sector.

Objectives

The India China Conclave 2008 offers a unique platform to learn, discuss and exchange experience about the major structural, technical, managerial and regulatory changes in the trade across various sectors amongst various stakeholders. Coherent with the emerging partnership between India and china, the Conclave aims to provide a critical assessment of the current state and future business prospects for mutual benefit and growth. More specifically, the summit will:

 

·         Present a critical assessment of current trade and investment climate in India and China and address specific policy issues that confront both countries private Sector

·         Provide opportunity to business leaders for direct interaction with policy makers and implementers to share ideas for building confidence for sustainable business relationships.

·         Identify specific needs for improving business environment to enhance economic cooperation between both countries,

·         Showcase key development initiatives to the private & public sectors of the many commercial opportunities in both countries,

·         Offer a platform for Chinese and Indian enterprises, business leaders to interact directly at one to one level,

 
    Conclave Agenda
    The Main Event will consist of plenary sessions, State government presentation on opportunities, Presentations on policies and procedures, Sector specific Workshops, Presentation of companies from India and China, Private One to One Meetings, Media Event.
    Venue
    The conclave will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Jawahar Bhawan in New Delhi.
    Language
    The proceedings will be conducted simultaneously in English and Chinese
    Beneficiaries

    The Conclave is planned as a real matchmaking event between Indian and Chinese enterprises and will primarily benefit those enterprises by way of offering an enabling platform for them to create and foster the business partnership relationships among them.
